Harry designed this little table for himself, for use in his new space in New York City. Most of the first furniture offerings to launch as part of HADCSTM come from this personal project. After the pandemic Harry moved into a live/work situation. The modular living area, which also includes the Comoso Chair and the Program Rug, needed something handmade as its centerpiece.
Perfect Leaf is a pillar to support a cup of coffee or a book, but it’s also a table that can be used in multiples. Harry envisioned using four as his coffee table. The shape is very versatile and makes interesting patterns when combined.
Harry in his heart is a modernist. He has been mining the beauty of pure forms his entire career – and he’s still in love with circles and squares and triangles. This is why the “squircle” is so alluring. It’s as if the circle and the square got together and had a baby. But what do you call it? Squircle was just not cutting it, so we named it “Perfect Leaf.”
